Dear Thrift Shop consignors and customers,

The Thrift Shop Board of Directors is sad to announce that the shop will be permanently closing at the end of 2018.  This was a very difficult decision to make and was not done so lightly or quickly.  Simply put, the shop does not bring in enough income to support continued operations.

We appreciate the hard work of the Thrift Shop staff who has worked tirelessly to keep the shop open this long.  Closing is not a reflection on employees or volunteers who have supported the Ft. Detrick community for many years.

The shop is no longer accepting new consignor sign-ups after August 17, 2018.  The last day for items to be brought in for consignment will be Friday, September 28, 2018.  Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas items can all be consigned beginning Tuesday, September 11, 2018.  Halloween items must be picked up by close of business Friday, October 26, 2018. Any consigned items not picked up by close of business Friday, November 30, 2018 will become property of the Thrift Shop.  The last day the shop will be open for shoppers is Friday, December 14, 2018.

A very big thank you goes out to the loyal consignors and customers who have kept the shop going this long.  You will be missed.

Sheila Brown, Chairman
Thrift Shop Board of Directors
