AIE System updates and implementation starting Nov. 5
AIE System updates
On Nov. 5, Fort Detrick and Forest Glen will begin a soft implementation of the Automated Installation Entry system. At that time, you will start scanning your own AIE approved badges at the AIE pedestals. Security Guards will be present to assist you with the transition of this process.

There will be 1 lane activated during peak hours (6 – 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) that will utilize AIE and during non-peak hours all open lanes of traffic would utilize AIE. Fort Detrick and Forest Glen will continue to allow entry into the Installation with other approved identification cards during this time period. If you do not possess an AIE approved ID, you will be given a flyer explaining how and where to get an AIE Badge.

Full implementation of AIE is tentatively scheduled for January 1, 2019. You must possess an AIE approved ID by the above implementation date to gain access to the installation.

If you have any questions regarding the AIE system, contact the Fort Detrick Directorate of Operations, Physical Security office at (301) 619-3726 or Chief of Guards at (301) 619-2003.
