Members of the Fort Detrick community met at the AAFES Express parking lot as part of Bike to Work Day 2017 early on May 19.

Every year, Fort Detrick partners with Frederick Memorial Hospital, Heartly House, the Fredrick County Sherriff's Department and Frederick City Police to support the "Healing Project." Started in 2015, the Healing Project allows the community to become involved in the fight against sexual assault by packing donated personal hygiene items, blankets and clothes for Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Fort Detrick Army Substance Abuse Program
The summer season is a dangerous time of year for the Army with notable increases in off-duty accidental fatalities and injuries. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and other federal, state and local highway safety and law enforcement officials across the Nation, as well as the Army Substance Abuse Program, remind anyone planning on drinking alcohol this summer to always Plan Before You Party – Don’t Forget to Designate a Sober Driver.
