The Fort Detrick U.S. Army Garrison conducted a Change of Command ceremony May 11 at the Fort Detrick Auditorium.

Col. Robert A. O’Brien relinquished command to Col. Scott M. Halter during a ceremony surrounded by distinguished guests, general officers, community leaders, fellow Soldiers, family members and the Fort Detrick community.

Fort Detrick recognized our volunteers during a ceremony themed “Army Volunteers-Service for Life” at the Community Activity Center on April 27.

Fort Detrick hosted several events in the month of April focused on eliminating sexual harassment and assault during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

Although sexual assault awareness and prevention is a year-round effort, SAAPM is a time to focus efforts on building awareness through outreach and educational opportunities that impact our community, with these efforts making prevention something that should take place each and every day.
