Thanks to the help of the community and Marines of Company B at Fort Detrick, more children will wake up with smiles on their faces and sparkles in their eyes.  After a year-long effort of planning, the execution and final product was truly remarkable at the Toys for Tots distribution on Dec. 17.

Beginning Jan. 5, 2015, visitors to Fort Detrick and Forest Glen Annex will be subject to a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) background check. Visitors with issues such as an outstanding arrest warrant, recent felony conviction or being listed in the Terrorist Screening Database will not be allowed access, and if appropriate, will be turned over to legal authorities.

The temperature is dropping, leaves are falling and winter weather will soon be here.

The U.S. Army Garrison at Fort Detrick maintains several efforts in preparation for winter weather, including: emergency planning, strategic communications, snow plan development and execution, plowing, salting... and the list goes on and on.
