Fort Detrick Celebrates Veterans Day in Local Parade
Fort Detrick participated in the 84th Brunswick Veterans Day Parade Nov. 7 in Brunswick, Maryland. One of the oldest events of its kind in the country, this year’s festivities began with an opening ceremony where Fort Detrick’s own Master Sgt. Stephine Bellinger, senior enlisted leader for the 6th Medical Logistics Management Center, served as master of ceremonies.

Local and state elected officials were present to witness one of the two officially sanctioned Veterans Day regional sites in Maryland, as determined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Over 110 parade entries made their way through the streets of Brunswick celebrating veterans and showing patriotism for the Nation.

Veterans Day is recognized each year on Nov. 11.
