Red Ribbon Week is an annualnational observance that is a major force for raising public awareness and mobilizing communities to combat alcohol,drug, and tobacco use.

In order to maintain combat readiness, it is imperative that the Department of Defense military personnel, civilians, and their families remain drug free.

In memory of Enrique (Kiki) Camarena, a Drug EnforcementAdministration Agent, who was tortured and killed in Mexico in1985, the Fort Detrick community joins the national movement in honor of DEA Camarena for his bravery and committing his life to stopping drug use in America.
