Did You Know ?

- Rates of disability are increasing due to an ageing population and increases in chronic health conditions.

- 1 in 4 workers entering the work force today will become disabled before retiring.

- Having a disability places you in the world's largest minority group. An estimated 386 million of the world's working-age population have some form of disability.

- A U.S. Survey found that only 35 percent of working-age persons with disabilities are actually working, compared to 78 percent of those without disabilities.

Army Family Action Plan Conference

Make A Difference - Get Involved!!

We are looking for delegate and work team members who would like to assist in the 2014 Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) Conference. No experience is necessary, just a strong commitment to the AFAP process. Reserve your spot now to be a part of this year's AFAP Conference.

Conference Dates: 03-06 Nov 14

AFAP Issue Status UppateAFAP Issue Status Update

We are also collecting issues for the 2014 AFAP Conference. To submit your issue, you may go to www.myarmyonesource.com. Under the Family Programs and Services tab, choose Army Family Action Plan Issue Management System. From there, just follow the instructions and submit your issue online. You may also submit your issue to the AFAP Program Manager in the Army Community Service (ACS) Offices in Bldg. 1520.

To submit an issue or to volunteer for the conference visit / call: Community Support Center, 1520 Freedman Drive, ACS, Room 119; Phone: (301) 619-3171, or email: usarmy.detrick.imcom-fmwrc.mbx.outreach.mil No issues accepted during the conference. The deadline to submit issues is 14 October 2014.
