Ask, Care, Escort (ACE) Annual Civilian Suicide Prevention Awareness Training

The course length is 1.5 hours. Pre-registration is NOT required, however, seating is available on a "first come - first serve" basis. This training is sponsored by the Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) and satisfies the annual suicide prevention awareness training required by AR 600-63. Please note this training is NOT required for contractors, although they are encouraged to attend. For questions/concerns please contact 301-619-1751.

Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Class

This 5 day course educates individuals transitioning from the military on their benefits and entitlements upon separation or retirement and covers all mandatory requirements. Includes a resume and job search workshop. Spouses are encouraged to attend.

Retiree Appreciation Day (RAD)

Fort Detrick will host its annual Retiree Appreciation Day (RAD) on Wednesday, 19 November 2014 at the Community Activity Center (CAC), building 1529. The RAD is conducted by the installation Retirement Service Office to keep retired service members and their Families up-to-date on changes in their retirement rights, benefits, and privileges and to foster good will between the retired and active duty communities.

We are looking for delegate and work team members who would like to assist in the 2014 Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) Conference. No experience is necessary, just a strong commitment to the AFAP process. Reserve your spot now to be a part of this year's AFAP Conference.

We are also collecting issues for the 2014 AFAP Conference. To submit your issue, you may go to www.myarmyonesource.com. Under the Family Programs and Services tab, choose Army Family Action Plan Issue Management System. From there, just follow the instructions and submit your issue online. You may also submit your issue to the AFAP Program Manager in the Army Community Service (ACS) Offices in Bldg. 1520.

To submit an issue or to volunteer for the conference visit / call: Community Support Center, 1520 Freedman Drive, ACS, Room 119; Phone: (301) 619-3171, or email: usarmy.detrick.imcom-fmwrc.mbx.outreach.mil No issues accepted during the conference. The deadline to submit issues is 14 October 2014.
